One of the many great things about going to an international school is the amount of holidays. Although this week is dedicated for focus week trips where students get to travel around the globe to do touring and volunteer work, I have it off to study.
While 'studying' (meaning laying on my comfy blue couch and surfing the internet), I stumbled upon a blog post series on the Law of Attraction. After reading it, I seriously feel as though a whole new perspective has just been given to me. Like I've just powered up in a game of Temple Run. Seriously. I've realized that I have the power to turn my life right side up. So why not do that through doing something I love (being writing)? So, here's a post dedicated to all that I'm thankful for this week/month.

Instagrams of (last) Week
Time and time again I forget to post my Instagrams of the Week... but I'm working on it! Anyway, here they are:
A year ago this was me...living it up in sunny California as a carefree 16 year old. Its unbelievable how much we can change in a year. I cannot wait to go back this July and relive those carefree moments under the summer sun.
I don't think there's one person who doesn't enjoy getting a very anticipated package in the mail.
Adorable little vintage camera shop in Wanchai.
Bordom at it's finest...I'm horrible at waiting!
Sushi at Genki in Causeway Bay (god I love these rolls).
Love always,
Sam

Video Update: Your Questions Answered
Hopefully this coming week/end I'll post another 'An American in China' video for you all to see :) In the meantime, I'm going to post a review about Le Creperie in Wanchai that I was talking about in the video.

Instagrams of (last) Week
Sorry I forgot to post this! Anyway, these are my Instagrams of (last) Week
One of my favorite pairs of shoes, the topsiders.
Nothing like a pancake with powdered sugar.
Mom's birthday at Nomads
Celebrating mom's birthday for the second day!
Love always,
Sam
An American in China V7: Pouring Rain!
Typical. As I've lived here for almost a year, I can say the HK weather is incredibly bipolar. One minute it's beautiful and sunny and then next is raining cats and dogs!
Love always,

An American in China V6: Handy Information

An American in China V4: Time Square HK Version
Time Square, located in Causeway Bay, is a popular location to do some shopping and a lot of eating! Dim sum is a personal favorite here in China and CWB's Crystal Jade located inside the mall has some of the best. On the cheaper end, there are egg balls (waffles that are round instead of square) as well as boba (which they call bubble) tea. I'll do an updated video soon!
Love always,
Shugs
An American in China V3: MTR Ride
So you've met my mom, and now you'll meet my pops! Its just the three of us in my little family but we get along really well and always have a good time. Like I said before, these videos are a tad old but my newer ones will most likely be just of myself or with friends.
Love always,
Shugs
An American in China V2: Airplane Claustrophobia?
I cannot express how little leg room there was and to have to sit in such a small space for 13 hours was quite a task. In the end though we slept for a total of 10 hours (thank goodness for red eye flights) so we only had to stand the leg cramps and numb back sides for 3 hours. All in all though it was quite a relaxing flight with a wonderful crew. Cathay Pacific airline is definitely recommended!
Love always,
Shugs
An American in China V1: LAX Lovin'
So ever since I moved to Hong Kong, I've been making little videos to update my friends and family back home about what life is like on the other side of the globe. I thought it would be fun to post them here for all of you wonderful viewers to see as well :) I'll post all of them one post at a time so I can include a short description about what's going on and I'll be sure to update you fairly frequently. I haven't posted in a while so these videos are about a year old but nevertheless, they work!
*As I am an only child, my mother and I are extremely close. She pops up in these videos quite often so you'll be experiencing her Latina spice throughout these videos.
Love always,
Shugs

Instagrams of the Week
I'm a big Instagram fan and find myself taking loads of pictures and putting them through the insta-filter ringer to give them that 'indie fresh' look. So here a peak of my Instagrams of the Week
Coffee at the Sheraton (coincidence that my name starts with an S?)
Coffee at Starbucks on a rainy day...
Selfie to kill time...
My team and I at the 2012 Business Day at my school (which we won! :))
